DECEMBER 16 - 17 | CONSERVATORY LOUNGE & BAR
The final session of the Masters of Food & Wine gastronomic festival will take place at the Conservatory Lounge & Bar on 16 and 17 December. This time it will be dedicated to the national Swiss dish called Raclette. During these two days the guests will have a unique chance to try authentic Raclette cooked with a traditional recipe specially brought from the Alps.
16 and 17 December 2016, the Conservatory Lounge & Bar will host the Masters of Food & Wine final session dedicated to the home-made Raclette, a signature dish of the national Swiss cuisine.
As legend says, Raclette was invented in 13 century by accident when a herdsman got closer to the fire to get warm and saw that cheese he dined with started to melt. Time has passed and this dish became one of the most popular ones in Switzerland and abroad, while the original method of cooking barely changed: the cheese cut in two and warmed up over the fire or grill until it starts melting, and the soft layers are put into the plate.
16-17 December, the true connoisseur from Switzerland will cook Raclette in traditional way and serve it with marinated cucumbers, potatoes, variety of ham and sauces. For two days only the guests are welcome to order the dish during lunch and dinner, a special festival menu and wine selection will be available.
